Grand Opening of Poti Trans Terminal: Strengthening the Middle Corridor

On June 9, the city of Poti, Georgia, hosted the grand opening of the Poti Trans Terminal—an important milestone in the development of the transport corridor connecting China, Central Asia, and Europe via the Caspian and Black Seas.

This strategic project, developed through close cooperation between Kazakh, Georgian, and Azerbaijani partners, reinforces the Middle Corridor (TMTM) as a vital route for international trade.

Our CEO, Natiq Jafarov, addressed attendees at the ceremony, highlighting the critical role of cross-border collaboration in building robust transport infrastructure and proudly representing Azerbaijan.

The event included symbolic moments such as the arrival of the first container train and the ringing of a ceremonial bell—signaling the official launch of terminal operations.

• Total area: 8.9 hectares
• Annual capacity: 80,000+ TEU
• Simultaneous storage: 4,000 TEU, including 100 refrigerated containers
• Staff employed: 121 professionals
• Infrastructure: Equipped with advanced technology for efficient, high-capacity cargo handling

This terminal marks a significant step forward for seamless logistics and enhanced connectivity across Eurasia.
